Dr. Alvelo Maurosa

Dr. Cristina M. Alvelo Maurosa joined Critter Care Veterinary Clinic in July 2025. Originally from Puerto Rico, she earned her BS in Animal Science from Purdue in 2009 and her DVM from Universidad Austral de Chile in 2017. Her experience includes externships in anesthesia and surgery, surgical tech work, and general practice in Michigan. She has a special interest in radiology. Outside work, she enjoys traveling, beach time, and rest. She lives with her two cats, Seyba and Lince.

Dr. Kassandra Villafranca

Veterinarian

Dr. Kassandra Villafranca, a Laredo, TX native, earned her BS in Biology from Texas A&M International University and her DVM from St. George's University, completing clinical training at LSU. She began her career at Tropicana Animal Hospital in Las Vegas. Her interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and emergency care. Bilingual in Spanish and English, she enjoys hiking, running, baking, and spending time with her cats, Marty and Espy, and her dogs, Sky and Marshall.
